Survive Summer with these cool gadgets

With just days to go to Christmas, the frantic rush is about to give way to relaxation and overindulgence.

But if you want to remain in shape during the Christmas break, you may need the help of the following gadgets.

The Boot with a Brain – Adidas F50 with miCoach Speed Cell

The Adidas F50 is known as the world’s first intelligent football and rugby boot.

The Adizero f50 is fitted with a microchip that tracks the wearer’s every step and syncs with the adidas miCoach personal coaching system.

Together, adizero f50 and miCoach can speed a player up on the field and enable them to play more intelligently, by capturing and crunching data and developing coaching plans to suit your playing performance.

The microchip, called the miCoach Speed Cell, is an advanced digital training tool. It captures 360 degree movement and measures performance indicators, such as speed, the number of sprints, stride and step rates, distances travelled and time.

After a game or training session, the wearer can wirelessly transmit the data to a computer, analyse the numbers, integrate them with the miCoach electronic coaching system and online training plans, sync them with the miCoach smartphone app for on-the-go coaching, share them on Facebook and compare results with those of team mates (for a bit of competitive fun) or even pro soccer stars such as Leo Messi.
